Day after day, the sun is still shining,
The rain clouds are gone and there is no fog.
No satisfaction to the day,
Just idled time and wasted thoughts.
Walking around with nothing heard,
The wind blows and the feeling is none, only numb.
Thoughtful only of the things
That make one smile for a second, never minutes longer.
Dullness of the mind and soul,
Dullness to the heart as if blackness was overhead.
And then, as if someone hit play,
Flowers arrived and finally the sunshine could be seen.
The sunshine could be felt and the song could be heard.
The numbness fell off and the dullness faded.
In my ear the tune could be heard and
I held the flowers to let the life back in.
