Tripping over the fact that I'm enjoying the new Kings of Leon album. I have never liked these kids. But tonight, oh tonight, I'm falling in love with that man's ragged voice. Hm. Must be something in the air.
Relationship is not unraveling and it's holding pretty tight. Knots have not come undone. Sweet, most say. I would agree. Though separation over the holiday is a bit sad-facey. It won't always be so, I know this.
The cold air rips through your lungs when you are outside tonight. You choose to look up at the stars and find yourself coughing and trying to keep your nostrils from freezing shut. Cold? Maybe. Might be an overstatement to the "warmth" that some people seem to feel in this single and teen-digit temperature. I say it's mildy frigid. FRIGID.
My geeky mind is getting it's ultimate reading fix with The Nine by Toobin. Any smart soul who seeks out a job in the legal field, and particularly those in law school, should mosey their noses into this book. Great historical, fact-filled, read. Especially for those legal-minded nerds, such as myself.
The holiday was fantastic. Perfection comes in a red box with a female-fitted, navy blue, NFL certified, Eli Manning jersey. Oh yeah. Perfection indeed my friends. Try not to be jealous, next year I'm asking Santa for the red jersey of which they tend to wear during practice/workouts. Heh.
When I leave the parentals unit I will miss the food. I'm trying to make a grand plan on how to bring as much food on the plane as humanly possible without causing a ruckus in security. Choco-mallow will be made tomorrow. Don't know it? King Arthur it! (that means head to King Arthur Flour and search it in their recipes :-) ) Along with more biscotti and fig cookies. Mmm. Italian fig cookies, home made. Truly cannot be beat.
Hope the holidays were well for all my readers. I promise to write more as the New Year approaches. Maybe a happy blog about this little chicky finding a full-time wicked fabulous J.O.B.
cheers!
