learn to spell

I think it's a pitiful sight when someone writes "your" instead of "you're" when necessary in the appropriate context. And might I add, I notice this so often in those kids a few years younger than me.... who are in COLLEGE! I think to myself, how did you write your application essay with horrible spelling and STILL get accepted? Odd. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy quirkiness. You want to invent a new word or mix it up a bit, go for it. For instance, my attorney said "fairly handly" the other and I about died laughing. Highly educated with a quirky word style - totally acceptable. But spell it incorrectly because you are just too dumb to think otherwise, fucking ridiculous. Go back to grammar school if you still have issues with your, you're, there, their, our, are, etc. They all have different meaning folks!

Since we're on the topic of spelling.... please, spell for me if you will, honesty. Because when spelled properly, it is not l-i-e. Let's just ponder that for a moment and come to a happy medium as to the proper spelling of said word. Let's ponder the difference in honesty and lie and decide if the two are one, or if the two are polar opposites. In my mind they are definite opposites and should be treated as such. I appreciate honesty. I practice it in my day-to-day life. I will tell you no. I will tell you that something will, or will not, happen. I will explain to you my honest feelings because that's how I roll - especially if we are close. To lie is to betray. And betrayal is very dark. My closeness to someone has always depended upon their honesty with me and mine with them. So to tango the two, honesty and lie, and mix them up as one element, I must then question you.

And my theory... if you lie about one huge thing, how many other huge things will you lie about again? or did you before? And what am I supposed to do now? You lied. You did so willingly. You apologize. And I am expected to just forgive and forget? Move along, eat your "pie", and we'll see in time how things pan out.
